(FROM THE HERALD'S CORRESPONDENT.)
Mr. James A. Loggie, of Lerwick, the hard-working secretary of the Shetland Sheepdog Club, is doing his utmost to get classes for the breed scheduled at the forthcoming Kennel Club Show at the Crystal Palace. He has circularized all interested in the breed, and is doing his utmost to achieve his object, so that it is highly probable he will be successful."

"DOGGIE BARKS FROM LONDON; PLANS FOR KENNEL CLUB'S SHOW
-----
(FROM THE HERALD'S CORRESPONDENT.)
LONDON.-Perhaps the most interesting item of doggie news this week is the announcement that the schedule of the Kennel Club's fifty-fifth Show, which is to be held at the Crystal Palace on October 18, 19 and 20, is now in the hands of the printers and will be issued to exhibitors in a few days. From an official source I learn that it exceeds all its predecessors in the number and value of class and special prizes, and also in the support accorded to the show by the various specialist clubs.
The list of judges, which is quite a lenghty one, contains the names of many of the most popular experts in the various breeds, and the probability is that they will draw a record entry between them. They include ...; Mr. Robert Tait, Shetland sheepdogs; ...

As predicted in the HERALD last year, Shetland sheepdogs are coming slowly, but surely. The fact that Mr. Robert Tait, one of the leaders of Colliedom in Scotland, has fallen a victim to the craze, and has promised to make a special pilgrimage to the Palace in October to judge this interesting breed is ample proof thereof. Another item of news concerning this variety is that Mr. Thomson, of Iverness, has sold to Mr. Alfred B. McLay, of New York, the winning bitch Inverness Lassie, whose advent in America is bound to promote interest in the breed there."

"KENSINGTON CANINE SOCIETY HOLDS ANNUAL EXHIBITION
-----
(BY THE HERALD'S CORRESPONDENT.)
LONDON, Wednesday. - The Kensington Canine Society is to be congratulated on its annual exhibition, which was held at Fulham Baths yesterday, for it was really a capital show. There were five hundred exhibitors, and all the classes were so well represented that the limited space available at the baths was heavily taxed. ...
Award for Miss Ashton Cross.
Among Shetland sheepdogs Miss Ashton Cross won a first with her MacEwan in the puppy class, but in the open class Mr. Thompson beat her with his Inverness Yarrow, third going to Miss Wilson Garry."
